Was that some kind of magic?

Not doing too well at keeping this blog updated... I'll try and change that once the band website's up and running, but things will probably stay a bit sparse round here for a while.

Anyway, I just got Phonogram: The Singles Club. And as good as Rue Britannia is, I think The Singles Club tops it. It's the ensemble cast, and the way each one represents a particular aspect of the ways that music tangles with our lives, and how we use it, and construct our identities around it. As an explanation of why music is so important, it's peerless.

And Kid-With-Knife's story is utterly, gloriously perfect; "hell... everybody does that".

Honestly, why do so many record labels disable embedding? It's completely counter-intuitive, and actively works against their own interests.
